Guidelines on Sustainable Event Organisation

At the latest since the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg in 2002, the sustainable orientation of political conferences and multilateral events has become an international standard.

The current edition of the "Guidelines for the Sustainable Organization of Events" from August 2020 contains recommendations and practical advice on the most important fields of action in the preparation of events in a wide range of fields (e.g. politics, culture, sport). The guideline is intended to serve as an aid for the employees entrusted with the preparation of such events, helping them to prepare and conduct them in an environmentally sound and socially acceptable manner.
