Safety Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants in the version promulgated on 3 March 2015

The Federal Ministry for the Environment and the regulatory authorities in the Länder have agreed to make changes to the notice of safety requirements for nuclear power plants.

The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and the regulatory authorities in the Länder responsible for the licensing and supervision of operational nuclear power plants have agreed to make changes to the notice of safety requirements for nuclear power plants promulgated on 22 November 2012 (BAnz AT 24 January 2013 B3). These changes concern transmission errors, revisions to reflect new scientific and technical knowledge and corrections.

The scope of validity of the safety requirements for nuclear power plants of 22 November 2012 remains unaffected.

The amended and revised notice of the safety requirements for nuclear power plants and the amendment to the notice of the interpretations of the safety requirements for nuclear power plants of 22 November 2012 - both in the version of 3 March 2015 - were published on 30 March 2015 in the Federal Gazette and added to the Federal Office for Radiation Protection's handbook on nuclear safety and radiation protection.
